Bruce Chubb’s Sunset Valley Oregon System (HO)

On July 20, 2025; Annette and I visited Bruce Chubb’s famous Sunset Valley HO scale layout. When starting back into the hobby in the 60’s, and up to the present time, I tried to read every article Bruce published as he was a real pioneer in this hobby. He told me he had published over 85 articles! He is MMR #164.

He has filled every inch of his basement (including an addition under the garage) with this spectacular layout, including the restroom! In the photos, you will also see my good friend, Dave Poplawski (in white FOBNR shirt), as the terminal yardmaster. Dave is a regular Sunset Valley Crew Member and loves to dispatch. There are TWO dispatchers on the layout, each controlling different territory.
